AUSTIN – Austin earns the No. 5 spot on the U-Haul Top 10 U.S. Destination Cities for 2016, according to the latest U-Haul migration trends report.
The Texas capital saw a bump of nearly 2 percent in arrivals over 2015, continuing its run as one of the top five busiest U.S. cities for incoming U-Haul trucks.
U-Haul Destination Cities are ranked according to the total number of arriving one-way U-Haul truck rentals to a city in the past calendar year.
Austin is the No. 2 U-Haul U.S. Growth City for 2016 with a population of 50,000-plus.
It is the lone U.S. location to rank in the top ten for U-Haul Destination Cities (gross arrivals) and U-Haul Growth Cities (net arrivals over departures) for the past calendar year.
