PORT ARTHUR - The Port Arthur Center, which currently houses Hobby Lobby and the Party Center, is expanding by 7,000 sf starting this spring. When completed, the Center will boast 90,000 sf of space.

Located at the corner of US 69 and FM 365, the new center, which opened for business more than a year and a half ago, will be expanded to make room for PetSmart, Firehouse Subs, Cash Store, Gulfside Dental and Chipotle.

All of the five new businesses have signed lease deals to move into the Center. The exact dates are not yet known, but all are planned to be open by late 2015.

Originally the building was occupied by Sutherland’s Lumber, which closed and was vacant for five years before Baker-Katz purchased the building for redevelopment in 2012.
