HOUSTON – A resurgent local and national economy, along with the prospects of lower energy regulations, were a boon to the Port of Houston during first quarter 2017, according to Colliers International.

While 1Q 2017 leasing activity was down from 2016 (3.6 million sf in 1Q 2017 vs. 6.7 million sf in 1Q 2016), the increase in container traffic could be a demand driver for the remainder of 2017.
