Four Seasons still Austin’s hottest hotel
AUSTIN – Austin’s hotel market shows no signs of slowing down even as hundreds of new rooms have been added—and with more on the way.
Source Strategies Inc., a hotel research company based in San Antonio, reported in its latest Texas Hotel Brand Report that seven of the ten best performing hotels in the state were in Austin in the first three months of the year.
Though the Four Seasons Hotel Austin is 30 years old, it remains the top-performing hotel not only locally but across the state based on revenue generated on every available room each day—or revpar.
The W Austin, The Driskill, The San Jose Hotel, Westin Downtown Austin, Hotel Van Zandt and South Congress Hotel are the other Austin hotels in the top ten.
Experts at Source Strategies still rank Austin as an undersupplied market in spite of all the new hotels delivered across the city and particularly downtown.
Austin has about 36,000 hotel rooms and sold 2.4 million last quarter, generating $356.6 million.
