​​​​NEEDHAM, Mass. – Corpus Christi, South Padre Island, and Galveston are ranked among America's top summer hotspots on TripAdvisor's 2017 Summer Vacation Value Report.​

The report is based on the greatest increase in seasonal hotel booking interest, including the average one-week vacation costs for hotels and airfare.

Corpus Christi ranked 43rd on the list, followed by No. 44 South Padre Island. The cities had average weeklong per person vacation costs of $1,614 and $2,204, respectively. Galveston finished at No. 47 with a one-week vacation costing $1,944 per person.​

The top five destinations nationally are Wildwood Crest, N.J.; Ocean City, N.J.; Lake George, N.Y.; Bar Harbor, Maine; and Ocean City, Md.​
