MIDLAND – Dollar General has already opened its 11th store in Midland County, this one at 10404 FM Rd. 307.
But Dollar General will host a grand opening at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 20, according to a company press release.
The first 50 adult shoppers will receive a $10 Dollar General gift card, and the first 200 shoppers will receive a Dollar General tote bag with complimentary product samples and other giveaways.
The retailer opened its 10th store in Midland County, located at 6811 N. FM Rd. 1788, in April.
Its first store opened doors here in 1999. In total, there are about two dozen Dollar General locations combined in Midland and Ector counties.
"We know convenience is a major factor in our customers’ shopping decisions as we generally serve customers within a three- to five-mile radius, or ten-minute drive," Laura Somerville, who works in corporate communications, said recently.
