Conceptual renderings by Cielo show a tower in the 30-story range. Although plans have not yet been determined, the building could include residential, office, restaurant, and retail. It'll also serve as the permanent home for the church’s historical archives. The property, which the church bought in 2009, is bounded by Seventh, Eighth, Trinity, and Neches Streets. Rev. Canon Lang Lowrey III with the church said they hope to break ground next year. However, the project hasn't received city approval yet. For the time being, the land serves as a revenue-generating parking lot. | Austin American-Statesman
