AUSTIN – A tenant is sparing no expense for its consolidated Austin offices that will occupy more than 200,000 sf at the new 500 West 2nd St. building under construction.

Documents filed April 6, 2017 at the City of Austin Development Services Department show that the company, Google Inc., intends to spend about $9.5 million to finish out just a portion of its space—about 66,000 sf on the 23rd and 24th floors.
Google will be the largest tenant of the 500,511-sf building, which is nearing shell completion in the area of Cesar Chavez and San Antonio streets.
Records show that construction on the 23rd and 24th floors is expected to begin June 2017 and be finished January 2018.
