SAN ANTONIO – The demolition of an old bridge will shut down I-35 near NE Loop 410 for four days beginning Friday, April 7, 2017.

Starting at 9 p.m. Friday, all lanes between Rittiman Rd. and George Beach Ave. will be closed until Monday, April 10, 2017 at 5 a.m.

The road will reopen between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on April 8, 2017, only to alleviate Spurs traffic.

The bridge is being demolished to relocate the exit ramp from the left-hand side of the road to the right.

Those heading north on I-35 will be sent to the northbound 410 exit, to turn around at Binz-Engleman and continue on 410 before hopping back on northbound I-35.

Online data shows that roughly 288,778 people travel along the construction area each day.
