WACO – A facility of global packaging company Sonoco announces plans to expand its Waco location in 2015 with completion in early 2016.

Sonoco will install a new rotary die-cut machine, slitter and rotogravure printing press, investing $13.5 million in equipment at the facility and will add an estimated 15 jobs to the area — a 27 percent increase to its employment base.

“The City of Waco has been home to Sonoco for nearly ten years, and we’re excited to further invest in our facility here, which has been a part of the community since 1986,” said Rick Brzezinski, plant manager. “We greatly appreciate the city’s commitment to our company’s future and to our place in the community.”
