COLLEGE STATION – A global broadband services and technology company, ViaSat, has broken ground.

The over 85,000-sf complex will sit on nine acres at ATLAS, a new master-planned development in the epicenter of the Texas A&M Biocorridor.

ViaSat is expecting to employ more than 200 people, adding at least 150 new full-time jobs with an average salary of $64,000 by the end of the second year after construction.

The expected completion of the project is by mid-2018, with construction costs of approximately $20 million, according to TDLR.

The new facility will be located next to Cashion Lake, in close proximity to Nutrabolt, iBio, FujiFilm, and the new The Stella Hotel.

ViaSat will be the first global technology company to move into ATLAS, enabling the company to support the expected growth of the master-planned development.
