‘Red-hot’ Pflugerville housing market starting to cool
PFLUGERVILLE – Home sales in Pflugerville in January and February 2017 are less than half of what were sold in the same period last year, which real estate experts are saying signifies a return to a more normalized and less aggressive housing market.
After 110 homes were sold in January and February 2016, 53 have been sold those same months this year, according to data compiled by the Austin Board of Realtors.
But Brandy Guthrie, president of the Austin Board of Realtors, said that dip does not indicate a weak market. Instead, she said, it is more indicative of a market moving toward normalization.
Despite the normalizing market, Pflugerville has a 1.6-month supply of homes, meaning that the number of homes currently for sale would likely all be sold within that period.
