HOUSTON – Sheldon ISD unveiled plans for a new 570,000-sf collegiate-inspired campus on 185 wooded acres off Beltway 8, just a mile from Generation Park.

The yet-to-be-named campus will feature a new comprehensive and professional high school that will house up to 3,500 students; a new 10,000-seat football stadium; and several athletic facilities, including a track, baseball and softball fields, and tennis courts.

The design of the new campus was inspired by a college campus, with promenades and quads where students, faculty and community members can interact.

Inside, schools will feature big and small classrooms as well as flexible spaces where educators can plug and play various teaching equipment, like welding tools for industries in hot demand.
