PORT ARTHUR – A long-term shipping contract has given San Antonio-based midstream company Howard Energy Partners the green light to move forward with plans to expand its GT Omniport Terminal.
The expansion will consist of 15 new storage tanks—which will add more than 1 million barrels of storage—and the building of new marine facilities for both blue water and inland marine vessels.
Located off SH 73, the facility has rail service but a new pipeline will connect it to more third-party suppliers.
