​​​​​MIDLAND – The Permian Basin Board of Realtors released its annual statistics that were comparable to previous years when it came to average price for a home sold ($276,688 in 2016) and total homes sold (1,882).

The average price for a home sold in 2016 was more than any year in the past five years with the exception of 2014's $287,005​ average price.

T​​​he number of homes sold ranked with the highest years since 2012.​​​

According to the National Association of Realtors, homes sell faster in Midland than anywhere else in the U.S.

Below are the 2016 annual statistics The Permian Basin Board of Realtors released:​​

  • Average total on the market: 581
  • Homes sold: 1,882
  • Average days on the market: 54
  • Average sold price: $276,688
  • Average list price: $284,855
  • Median sold price: $236,072
  • Median list price: $240,113
