​LONGVIEW – Longview’s Development Services Department issued 14 permits for construction of single-family homes in January 2017, up from five in January 2016.​

Average construction values also increased to $184,286 from $157,694 a year ago.
It also was a sizable jump from December, when the city issued four permits with an average value of $148,000.

January’s largest value was $528,000, for a two-story house under construction at 1110 Masters Way. 

Permits issued ranged down to a home with a construction value of $60,000 at 906 Doyle St.
