More than numbers in this sand

​​​​​​SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – The Economic Development Corporation has released the valuation data for 2016 building permits.

Data show that valuations for residential buildings were much higher than for commercial buildings in 2016.

September had the highest residential building permit valuations totaling to $3,132,869.

For commercial building permits, March ranked the highest with $889,608. ​
