Lots of tires tread to hub in Grand Prairie

​​​​​​​​​​GRAND PRAIRIE – ​One of the largest tire manufacturers in the world—Continental Tires—has decided to expand its North Texas distribution hub in Grand Prairie.

Continental Tires plans to expand its facility by 282,507 sf, bringing the total footprint of the building—called Grand Lakes 4003—to more than 1 million sf of industrial space.​

Continental Tires will expand into 58 percent of the new space or about 164,500 sf, leaving 118,007 sf available for lease.

The additional space will give Duke Realty leasing room in its 4.2 million-sf portfolio, which sits at nearly 100 percent occupancy, said Jeff Thornton, senior vice president at Duke Realty’s Dallas office.​​​
