Plano campus sells for more than a ‘Penney’

PLANO – J.C. Penney has sold its Plano campus for more than $400 million at 6501 Legacy Dr.

J.C. Penney plans to consolidate into about 600,000 sf in the north end of the sprawling headquarters campus in Plano.

J.C. Penney’s 1.8 million-sf headquarters complex in Plano, which dates to the 1980s, is located just west of the Dallas North Tollway.

The property is surrounded on two sides by the $3 billion Legacy West development—the largest real estate project currently underway in North Texas.​
