​​​​​COLLEGE STATION – The Blinn College Board of Trustees approved its new facility on the Texas A&M University System's RELLIS campus. 

Assistant Vice President of Facilities, Planning and Construction Richard O'Malley presented the deal to the trustees, authorizing District President and CEO Mary Hensley to negotiate a deal with the construction company for a maximum price of $28.5 million.​ 

In addition to the construction costs, college officials are projecting a roughly $5.7 million soft cost for items to fill the campus, bringing the total projected cost for Blinn at the RELLIS Campus to around $34.2 million.

The four-story building is expected to house 20 classrooms and eight laboratories, as well as faculty and staff offices.

Construction costs for the project will include a parking lot, utilities and landscaping. There are more images of the floor plan at the bottom of the page here​

Blinn's facility on the RELLIS Campus​ is expected to break ground in March 2017 with an opening in fall 2018.
