EL PASO – A $62 million contract was given to Sundt construction to build a new classroom and lab building on the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso campus.

The project includes construction of the 227,000-sf Medical Science Building II on the central El Paso campus, located at Alameda and Concepcion, expanding utility infrastructure, adding parking spaces, and improving surrounding landscaping.
The new facility will support the Texas Tech El Paso campus’ expanding research program, the existing medical and nursing schools, as well as its new dental school program.
The new building will house research laboratories, lecture halls, classrooms, faculty and researcher offices, and campus support space.
The new facility will look similar to the existing Medical Science Building 1.
