​​SAN ANTONIO – A $13 million U.S. injection molding press manufacturing operation is being set up by Japanese machinery maker ​Nissei Plastic Industrial Co. Ltd. ​​

The project has an estimated start date of Jan. 1, 2017, and an estimated completion date of Nov. 1, 2017. 
The Nissei manufacturing center will be in Brooks City-Base, a mixed-use community.
According to the filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), Nissei will build a 115,000-sf manufacturing plant to build injection molding machines. 
This facility makes the equipment for the process and not the actual production of plastic parts., according to TDLR.
That will include 47,000 sf of warehouse space and 13,700 sf of office space.
