​​VICTORIA – The number of active listings continues to increase, but the statistics still indicate a stable housing market.

The fall and winter months are usually a slower market as buyers and sellers get ready for the holiday season. 
The difference for October 2016 is there are 23 percent more active listings than this same time last year.
Currently, there are 6.2 months of inventory, which is up from five months from this same time last year.
The median home price is $182,000, which is up 8 percent from last year. 
The average days on the market for October 2016 is 107 days, 20 more days than October 2015.
However, sellers should be aware that single-family homes sold is down by 2 percent from this time last year.
