​​ROWLETT – North Texas has never seen an October housing market like the one in 2016, according to a monthly housing market report released today by the MetroTex Association of REALTORS.

According to the report, 96 homes were sold in Rowlett in October 2016, a 2.2 percent increase from 2015. 

The dollar volume in sales in Rowlett increased 18.1 percent year-over-year to $22,644,427. The average price in October 2016 was $238,362 up 15.6 percent from 2015.

Rowlett's monthly housing inventory was 2.0 months in October. The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University cites that 6.5 months of inventory represents a market in which supply and demand for homes is balanced.

Homes spent an average of 27 days on the market in October. There were 174 active listings for the Rowlett housing market during the same time frame.
