SAN ANTONIO – Home sales in October posted an 8 percent increase from the same month last year, holding hands with the 5 percent increase in average sale prices, according to the San Antonio Board of Realtors’ monthly report.

Buyers shopping around in the San Antonio area can expect to spend an average $240,919 on a home, compared to the area’s $209,947 average just two years ago.
Alongside the increases in sale price, inventory in the San Antonio area dropped even further to 3.5 months—far below the six-month standard equated to a healthy, balanced market.
San Antonio’s growth once again surpassed the state average, with Texas posting a 1.8 percent year-over-year increase in home sale volume.
