Rolling, rolling, rolling tires to huge warehouse in AllianceTexas

​​​ROANOKE, DENTON COUNTY – One of the largest independent suppliers of tires—North Carolina-based American Tire Distributors (ATD)—plans to open a large regional distribution hub within the Roanoke portion of the 18,000-acre AllianceTexas development.

ATD has rented a 756,000-sf warehouse near I-35W in the Alliance Gateway 60 industrial project on Freedom Dr.​ in Roanoke in Denton County.​

"The speed-to-market of the facility helped land American Tire Distributors at AllianceTexas," ​said Tony Creme, a senior vice president at Hillwood.

The Foreign Trade Zone, close proximity to BNSF Railways’ Alliance Intermodal facility and major highways also helped land the deal, Creme said.​

This trade zone limits the company’s costs to the inventory that is being removed and shipped to its U.S. distribution centers.

The company will move into the new building early next year.​
