COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents yesterday approved more than $200 million in new construction projects for its flagship campus.

Among the projects:

  • A $76.5 million, 102,000-sf biocontainment research facility (Global Health Research Complex). Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2017 and finish in March 2019.
  • The $103.8 million Medical Research and Education Building project at the Texas A&M University Health Science Center. The project begins construction next month and will be completed in March 2019.
  • A $17 million West Campus Support Building, also slated to begin construction next month. Completion is expected next November.
