DALLAS - A unit of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, BCBS Innovation, is taking about 25,000 sf of office space in the former West End MarketPlace building at Munger Ave. and Market St.

The health insurer will occupy part of the 114-year-old former retail and entertainment complex which developer Granite Properties is converting into high-tech, creative office space.
The seven-story, 237,000-sf building—which started life as a cookie factory built at the turn of the 20th Century—is being converted into a new generation office environment called Factory Six03.
Building permits show that about $2.5 million is being spent to build BCBS Innovation’s new offices in the landmark building.
When finished, the West End building will have a rooftop entertainment space and amenity deck, a community lobby, coffee bar and about 10,000 sf of restaurant space.
