CARROLLTON – Construction has begun on a new driver’s license mega center in Denton County.
The 26,000-sf mega center, at 4600 State Hwy. 121, will have space for up to 42 driver’s license customer service work stations, as well as offices for Texas Highway Patrol and Texas Rangers.
The new facility will feature improved customer flow and waiting areas for driver’s license customers.
Additionally, modern queuing technology will be available to permit customers to "get in line online" before arriving at the office and dramatically reduce customer wait times for driver’s license services.
There are ten mega centers (Dallas South, Corpus Christi, Fort Worth, Corpus Christi, Garland, Gessner, Houston North, Leon Valley, Rosenberg and Spring) with four more in the design phase (Carrollton, Houston, Edinburg and Midlan-Odessa).
These driver license centers will all be completed and operating by August 2017.
