$7M Texas Oncology cancer treatment centers on Alamo City
SAN ANTONIO – Texas Oncology, which secured a major presence in San Antonio a year ago via its merger with Cancer Care Centers of South Texas, is expanding its stake in the Alamo City.
The Dallas-based company has begun work on what will be one of the largest comprehensive cancer care centers in the market.
The new 40,000-sf facility is under construction at Huebner Rd. and Research Dr. and will replace its building at 4411 Medical Dr. at the Medical Center—adding 50 percent more space.
The new center will cost about $7 million to construct.
The building is set to open in 2017 and is estimated to have the capacity to treat 300 patients per day with 19 physicians and support staff.
In addition to seven locations in San Antonio, Texas Oncology also has facilities in New Braunfels, Floresville, Hondo, Boerne, Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Pleasanton, Seguin and Uvalde.
