Lob and rally in new tennis facility in Hockley
HOCKLEY – The Clubs at Houston Oaks will hold a grand opening November 12, 2016 for its new tennis facility.
The nearly 1,000-acre family resort, located at 22602 Hegar Rd. in Hockley, features a tennis clubhouse and six USTA-regulation tennis courts with a plexipave surface and stadium LED lights for night-time matches.
Houston Oaks has hired three-time Olympian Liezel Huber and her husband Tony Huber to run the tennis club. Liezel Huber is a seven-time Grand Slam title winner and was ranked No. 1 in the world for 199 weeks.
The new tennis facility and courts join a large roster of high-end amenities at Houston Oaks, which include a shooting range, an equestrian center, a farm and cattle ranch, a disc golf course, a Little League baseball diamond, a petting zoo, a treehouse, a fish camp and a lake for boating.
Dozens of homes, a 12-room boutique hotel, four cottages, four cabins and a 6,600-sf lodge have been built for residents, club members and guests.
Developers are now renovating the resort’s golf course into an 18-hole championship course that will rival the top golf courses across Texas.
