HOUSTON – Atlanta-based Preferred Apartment Communities (PAC) has acquired Champions Village, a retail center at the intersection of FM 1960 and Champions Forest Dr.

The 403,523-sf power center is anchored by Randalls and is home to Kirkland's, Barnes & Noble, Palais Royal, and Tuesday Morning.

PAC purchased the asset to complete an eight-property portfolio purchase from Hines that began in early August, and it now owns 31 grocery-anchored shopping centers in suburban Sunbelt markets. It also financed the acquisition with a nonrecourse, five-year, floating-rate loan through Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.
