HOUSTON – StreetLights Residential has unveiled its second luxury apartment project in Houston.

The multifamily developer welcomed its first residents into The Carter, a new luxury apartment tower in the Montrose-Museum District area.

The 20-story, 305-unit tower sits on two acres at four Chelsea Blvd., just south of Hwy. 59 and half a mile north of Hermann Park.

The Carter features 296 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment units as well as four two-story townhome units on the ground floor and five penthouse units on the top floor.

Rents range from $1,950 per month for a one-bedroom unit spanning 723 sf to $14,500 per month for a three-bedroom penthouse spanning 3,329 sf.

The Carter, which is currently finished up until about the seventh floor, has 25 leases so far. An off-site preleasing center opened this summer, followed by an on-site leasing office that opened this month.

Six residents have moved into the tower since move-ins began earlier this month.

The Carter, which broke ground in September 2014, is expected to be finished in the first half of 2017.
