Third middle school comes to College Station with $51M

​​​​COLLEGE STATION – Construction of the district’s third middle school has been approved.

The total project cost of nearly $51.4 million is the second-largest project in the district’s history behind the construction of College Station High School.

The new structure which will be located near the intersection of Wellborn Rd. and Greens Prairie Trail is set to open in fall 2018. 

Other major developments include the construction of Pecan Trail Intermediate School, a tenth elementary school and renovations to the existing intermediate and middle schools.

Pecan Trail Intermediate School, which was approved for construction in February 2016, is about 40 percent complete and is expected to open its doors in fall 2017.​
