Wildcats diggin’ up dirt in Godley ISD
GODLEY, JOHNSON COUNTY - Godley ISD trustees and student leadership members turned dirt for the groundbreaking for the new $28 million Godley High School.
The three-story, 123,763-sf school is expected to open in fall 2018 at 9401 N. Hwy. No. 17 which is on the site near the old high school.
The already approved $50 million bond package will occur in three stages. Stage one includes the construction of the initial phase of the new high school.
Stage two will provide an expanded agriculture facility, multiple campus renovations to allow for grade realignment and increasing capacity across the district and district-wide technology improvements.
Superintendent Rich Dear said the school will give Godley students the power to lead in a globally connected world while using engaged learning.
