SAN ANTONIO – Dallas-based Rosewood Property Co. has purchased the remaining 44 acres from the Tobin Endowment, with plans for a mixed-use development.
The property is the last piece of the Tobin Estate's original 500 acres south of the Harry Wurzbach Rd. and Loop 410 intersection.
Rosewood has already assembled a team that includes LRK for architecture and Pape-Dawson Engineers for civil engineering. Groundbreaking for utility work will happen in early 2017.
The typical construction timeline will be shortened since the city approved a planned-unit development application last year to rezone the land from residential to commercial and mixed-use. It will still need specific permitting approval, according to Bill Flaherty, president of Rosewood.
