WICHITA FALLS – The Petroleum Building in downtown—known more recently as the Crescent Plaza Hotel—has changed hands.

The plan is to turn the nine-story building primarily into residential living space.

"We feel downtown Wichita Falls is lacking in residential living space." Will Kelty, a partner in the new ownership, said. "There is a waiting list for apartments."

The building is located at the northwest corner of Scott Avenue and Eighth Street.
