​​​WHEELOCK – Texas Well Owner Network (TWON) training​ will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Wheelock Bloodworth Community Center.

“The TWON program is for Texas residents who depend on household wells for their water needs so they can learn about improving and protecting their community water resources,” said Drew Gh​​olson, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service program specialist and network coordinator.

The training, which is free and open to the public, will be from 8:30 a.m.-noon at 12403 S. FM 46. 

Participants may bring well-water samples to the training for screening. It costs $10 per sample, due when the samples are turned in. Sample containers can be picked up from the AgriLife Extension offices in Robertson County, 2458 N. FM 46 in Franklin; in Brazos County, 2619 SH 21 W. in Bryan; or at the Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District, 112 W. 3rd St. in Hearne.
