Construction will start Monday on the building, located on one acre at 316 W. 12th St. Plans call for adding a floor to half the building and expanding the rentable square footage by 26,000 sf—meaning a total of nearly 100,000 sf of newly-renovated Class A office space will become available in late 2017. The building will also be renamed Westview. Developers will repurpose the best of the existing building and use the latest in energy efficiency and sustainability to achieve LEED certification status. Project team members include Andersson•Wise Architects as architect, The Burt Group as general contractor, Sixthriver Architects as interior designer, Big Red Dog as civil and MEP engineer, AEC as structural engineer, and Co'Design as landscape architect. Financing was arranged by HFF through Texas Capital Bank. | Columbus Communications
