DALLAS – Balfour Beatty Construction U.S. has won a large elementary construction and renovation project from Highland Park Independent School District totaling $110 million.

The project, which is part of the 2015 bond election for Highland Park ISD, will overhaul the district’s schools over the next five years by constructing four new elementary schools and renovating a fifth elementary school.
The initial phase of the project is underway with Balfour Beatty constructing Highland Park ISD’s first new elementary school since 1948.
The construction company has been charged to build a new 100,000-sf campus on 4.6 acres at Durham St. and Wentwood Dr.
This school is slated for completion in summer 2017, with Balfour Beatty demolishing and constructing replacement campuses on three existing sites. Each 100,000-sf school will take 13 months to complete.
