SAN ANTONIO - SeaWorld plans to invest heavily in a new thrill ride. Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster will be the first of its kind in North America, inspired by actual marine animal rescue missions.
Work has begun on the new ride and should be completed by summer 2017.
Wave Breaker riders will experience the new attraction from cars that resemble jet skis. Most of its 2,600-foot track will be constructed directly over water, creating the sensation that riders are racing across SeaWorld's Ski Lake.
With the addition of Wave Breaker, SeaWorld San Antonio will be home to four roller coasters.
