EL PASO - A multi-million dollar cancer treatment center at 4532 N. Mesa in West El Paso, which went bankrupt four years ago and has been shut tight since, has new owners.

GMD Medical Properties, managed by El Paso businessman George M. Dipp, purchased the 42,750-sf, three-story building less than two months ago, according to the deed of trust. The deal was brokered by global real estate firm CBRE

The facility had been owned by PlainsCapital Bank, following the bankruptcy. The purchase price was not disclosed, but the property is valued for tax purposes at $6.3 million, according to public records.

The area is attractive to doctors because of its proximity to hospitals, including Las Palmas and Providence hospitals, according to CBRE.

The property comes furnished with fixtures and equipment and was designed to accommodate high patient volumes.

The asset was built in 2009 on three acres, and includes a covered patient drop-off area, a retail-style pylon sign and available building signage.
