DALLAS-FORT WORTH – The DFW area now has more office space in the construction pipeline than the state’s other largest markets—Houston and Austin—combined.

About 7.5 million sf of new office space is being built in North Texas, compared with 4.2 million sf in the Houston area and about 1.6 million sf in Austin.
According to CBRE, DFW was the only Texas market to see continued demand for office space during the recession and the trend has taken off since then with new jobs coming to the area.
North Texas now has more than 222 million sf of office space—more than any of the other big city Texas markets.
