Asphalt-paved roads will be converted to six inches of concrete pavement.

Curbs on Main and Davis St. as well as Ave. C, D, E, F and H and 2nd through 7th St. will also be converted.

The $6.1 million project includes new sewer lines and water lines in the Benders subdivision and on Main St.

Construction is expected to conclude in early 2018, and provide more long-term solutions for Humble infrastructure, said Public Works Director Barry Brock.

The project began in the Benders subdivision, where project workers are locating current sewer lines before beginning on the new gravity sewer line at Ave. D.

During pavement work, the streets will be reconstructed one lane at a time with one-way traffic maintained on the adjacent lane, according to the pavement plan.
