HOUSTON - Transwestern has completed construction on Australia-based mining company BHP Billiton Petroleum's new 30-story office tower at 1500 Post Oak Blvd. in Houston's Uptown District.

Designed by Pickard Chilton Architects, the 593,856-sf tower has been designed to achieve LEED-CS Gold certification and incorporates seven levels of parking as well as a skybridge that connects to 1360 Post Oak—BHP's current headquarters.

BHP will occupy the entire building along with the company's space at 1360 Post Oak Blvd.

Transwestern broke ground in late 2013 on the TIAA-owned high-rise, which will allow BHP to consolidate its employees spread throughout Houston and Tulsa,

It is located within the 1.75 million-sf Four Oaks Place office park situated between San Felipe Rd. and Loop 610 just minutes from the Galleria and downtown Houston.
