HOUSTON – A hospital in southwest Houston expects to double its size.

Altus Health System announced it plans to revamp its current health care digs into a specialty surgical hospital.

The $10 million addition will open in early 2017, and the entire facility will blanket 31,000 sf.

The hospital, at 9901 Town Park Dr., will have expanded surgery options for patients.

New features include ten private inpatient rooms, three operating rooms and a special procedure room. Construction also includes redesigned pre-op and post-op areas.

About 15 nursing jobs will be added at the physician-owned hospital.
