Big Ass Solutions and Fanny hit the ‘fans’ in Houston
HOUSTON – In a state where everything is bigger, a self-proclaimed large fan company is blowing into Houston.
Big Ass Solutions has opened its first retail showroom in Houston, at 1224 N. Post Oak Rd., No. 120.
The company is behind brands such as Big Ass Fans—high-volume, low-speed wind machines—that are marketed for industrial and residential use.
The new space is about 7,645 sf.
The company will have four employees in Houston, but plans to add additional positions.
The facility includes a training room, a high-ceiling area, a space designed like a living room and a space for a statue of the company’s donkey mascot, Fanny, the Houston Chronicle reports.
The company landed on Forbes magazine’s "Most Promising Companies" list in 2015 with 2014 revenue of $165 million and gross profits of $74 million.
According to a fact sheet on its website, Big Ass Solutions’ revenue increased from $34 million in 2009 to more than $200 million in 2015. The company expects revenue will reach $275 million in 2016 and is aiming for $1 billion by 2020.
