SAN ANTONIO - California-based electric car manufacturer Telsa Motors Inc. plans to renovate the former headquarters of E-Watch Corp., a surveillance camera company in San Antonio.

According to a recent permit filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Tesla intends to spend $250,000 on the renovation of the 12,000-sf office space along I-10 Frontage Rd. across from the Dominion Country Club into a gallery for electric cars.

The company hired Ohio-based DH Architects Inc. as its design
company for the new gallery and vehicle service garage.
Construction is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, according to its permit.
In 2015, there were roughly 1,800 Teslas registered in Texas. Tesla anticipates to open a service station, electric vehicle delivery hub and car wash shop on-site.
