LEWISVILLE – Cosmetics brand Mary Kay has started construction on a 470,000-sf manufacturing facility dubbed R3 (short for Regal Row Relocation).
The project will be located on 26.2 acres at 2613 Denton Tap Rd. and house the company’s 700 manufacturing workers and 100 corporate employees.
Construction is set to be complete in first quarter 2018, and workers will begin to move during 2Q and 3Q 2018.
Lewisville expects Mary Kay to spend $44.2 million on the land and construction and $30.8 million in business personal property.
Its operations support Mary Kay’s 3.5 million independent sales consultants worldwide, and nearly 80 percent of the products made there are shipped overseas.
