HOUSTON – Blinds.com plans to add on nearly 25,000 sf to its headquarters as it continues to expand operations.

The new office space in the Westchase District will cost $1.5 million, according to city building permits.

Once completed, it will give Blinds.com 83,000 sf of office space at 10255 Richmond Ave.

Since the acquisition by Home Depot Inc. in 2014, Blinds.com has added around 170 employees with about 350 today.

The new space gives the company room to add at least another 150 employees in the near future, Blinds.com spokeswoman Katie Laird said.

"We’re aggressively hiring in all departments," Laird told the HBJ.

Along the same lines of its current space, the new floor will feature an open concept and other perks at the center of Blinds.com’s corporate culture.
